Gibson Tru-Body management policy
Gibson Tru-Body's commitment

The "Gibsons" have been involved in the Brisbane road transport industry for ninety years. Beginning in 1910, Alexander Smith Gibson operated road and sea transport businesses in Brisbane and on Moreton Bay. Then his son Gordon Thomas Gibson was a bus operator from 1950 and in 1963 commenced a motor body building business in Brisbane

"Gibson Tru-Body" was established in 1980 by the Managing Director Mr.Brian Gibson after being encouraged by his father Gordon.

Brian who is recognised as a quality craftsman, completed his apprenticeship in 1973 as a Motor Body Builder with Athol Hedges Pty. Ltd., then the largest bus assembly line in the southern hemisphere. Gibson Tru-Body's current operation has been built up from this heritage and the hands-on experience of a Managing Director who totally understands all the practical aspects of production. Management takes pride in the training of our staff and boasts having attained Apprentice of the year in our industry for 1993. In 1989 Gibson Tru-Body (arguably) became the first Motor Body Builder in Australia to introduce robotic welding technology to our part of the industry. This coupled with modern manufacturing techniques and equipment set the Company at the forefront of our competitors. Our current factories cover approximately 3700 sq.m. housing all our production sections.

We are proudly a "Preferred Supplier" supplying products to the "Queensland State Government", many "Local Governments" as well as many "Motor Truck Dealers".
